“Una Don Find Who to Drag?” – Ayra Starr Blows Hot as Fans and Trolls Clash Over Her Outburst

Mavin Records star Ayra Starr has finally broken her silence and she’s not holding back. In a fiery post on X (formerly Twitter), the Sability hitmaker lashed out at trolls who constantly criticize her every move.

There’s nothing I can do nor say to people that intentionally want to bully and misunderstand me every time. You’ve found a scapegoat abi? Focus on issues that actually matter and leave me TF alone,” she wrote.

Although she didn’t directly reference any specific incident, many believe her post was triggered by recent backlash over her silence during the tragic killings in Benue State. Some Nigerians accused her and other Gen Z celebrities of failing to speak out during national crises, while continuing to post lighthearted content.

Her outburst immediately lit up social media. Supporters rushed to her defense, reminding critics that she’s human and doesn’t owe anyone activism. “They hate how successful you’ve become. Keep shining. You owe no one explanations!” one fan wrote. Another added, “People just dey look for who to vent frustration on. Ayra, abeg keep your head up. Na your time.”

But not everyone was on her side. Critics claimed she was dodging responsibility, with one saying, “You put yourself in that position with your silence.” Another advised her to “read the room” and be more sensitive during national tragedies.

Despite the drama, Ayra Starr is still basking in success. Just last week, she won Best International Act at the 2025 BET Awards, beating out global acts including her Mavin labelmate Rema. Her influence on the Afrobeats scene remains undeniable, and while the trolls may talk, her wins are speaking louder.

Ayra’s message is loud and clear — she’s not anyone’s scapegoat. And love her or hate her, she’s not backing down.
