“The Things I Hear Are Scary” — Actress Juliana Olayode Raises Concern Over Teenagers’ Rising S₃x Drive

Sometimes the things happening around us are too alarming to ignore. Nollywood actress and author, Juliana Olayode, popularly known as Toyo Baby, has spoken up about what she describes as a disturbing rise in s₃xual activity and desires among teenagers in today’s society.

In a heartfelt post, Juliana revealed that the stories she hears daily from teenagers and their guardians are nothing short of shocking. According to her, many teenagers are engaging in acts beyond their age and understanding, and sadly, most of it happens under the noses of adults who are either too busy, too afraid, or too dismissive to intervene.

She pointed out that the early exposure to explicit content on social media, lack of proper guidance, peer influence, and unchecked freedom are fueling this growing trend among young people. She added that society’s silence on such matters is doing more harm than good.

Juliana stressed that it’s not just about preaching abstinence but also about having open, honest conversations with young people about s₃x, choices, boundaries, consequences, and self-respect. She believes that if adults continue to shy away from these talks, the situation will only worsen.

Now, over to you:

Do you think parents and guardians are doing enough in today’s world to guide their teens?

Have you noticed this shift among young people around you?

Should schools and religious bodies be bolder in addressing this issue openly and practically?

It’s one thing to look away; it’s another to admit there’s a problem and act.

The question is — what side are you on?
